Lost Crypto - Tax relevance?

Hi Accointing,

I have lost some crypto wrong adresses. Can I reduce my due tax with this loss? I have it currently classified as “loss” with type “withdrawal”.

Right now, the tax report does not list it as as loss. Therefore it doesn’t get deducted from my overall due tax. (Germany)

I do have the same issue, is there a solution for this problem?

Please see our article

This article talk about Tax-Loss Harvesting but we are talking about lost crypto. I am in the same boat and don’t know how to classify all my scammed lost transaction… It should be “withdrawal” + “Loss” but it does not calculate it as loss in the tax report… why?
